A literary movement has been revived at Mt. Pleasant High School in more ways than one.  In a time wen students have so much to say and so few opportunities to say it, this has never been more important.

The Local Community Heroes publication has been publishing stories of students and their inspiring teacher on front cover of the magazine starting April 16th, 2016.  This is the first anniversary of Local Community Heroes.

Tyler Gordon is a 10 year old student that attends Hubbard Media Arts Academy in the Alum Rock Union Elementary School District.  Tyler enjoys creating art and even makes art for the athletes of the Golden State Warriors.

Local Community Heroes – Heroes de la Comunidad (LCHP) was created for two great purposes.  To celebrate local inspiring teachers and students.  To provide scholarship funds for college bound students.
